Thousand Islands Engagement: Ashleigh & William
Kring Point – Alexandria Bay, NY
There is something about the Thousand Islands. Peaceful. Romantic. A captain from Schermerhorn Harbor once mentioned that there are very specific requirements for an island to truly have the honor of being counted among the many islands. A true island must rise above the water at all times of the year. It must also have at least one solid tree of a certain diameter, not just shrubbery. Very often we (or at least I) think of love a bit like a tree. It starts as a seed planted perhaps on purpose, or maybe by ‘accident’. Sunny days and soft rain come along giving it what it needs to grow. Storms may shake the sapling, but in the end, the strength gained is a blessing. Later on, we see the tree and marvel at its strength and beauty. William’s family have a little cottage on one of the islands near Alexandria Bay and I couldn’t help but thinking that if they judge an island by the strength of its trees, their cottage will remain on an true island for a very long time. I loved seeing Ashleigh and William’s love poured out in who they are. Congratulations to you both!
Westcott Beach State Park Engagement: Nichole & Ronnie
Thousand Islands, NY
Bert and I have been in Northern New York for almost four years now. Our little blue car has buzzed around the little back roads and has seen some pretty awesome places. But until last week Friday, we had never taken that right hand turn into Westcott Beach State Park. That was our loss over the years. It is such a beautiful and fun place! Nichole had mentioned Westcott Beach as a great location for their engagement session. She and Ronnie were hoping to bring along a canoe. Oh my goodness, they totally rocked it! They are so cute together. I can hardly wait for their wedding next year! Congratulations to both of you!

Singer Castle Wedding: Meghann & Jonathan
Dark Island – Thousand Islands, NY
Planning a wedding on an island can be quite complicated.
Dress…check. Shoes…check. Rings…check! It might be slightly more
difficult in the planning stages, but in Meghann’s case, it was totally worth
the extra effort! Their wedding at Singer Castle was amazing. Every detail was
taken care of. Even the sprinkles of rain that had been predicted for the
afternoon, were the nowhere to be seen. Congratulations to Meghann and
Jonathan!
Alexandria Bay Engagement: Ashleigh & William
Thousand Islands, NY
Ashleigh and William are the sweetest couple. We met them last year and I was immediately impressed by how organized Ashleigh was. She had a binder full of information and details of their upcoming wedding. If Ashleigh offers any organizing classes this fall, I think I might be the first to sign up! You rock girl. Congratulations to you both!
