Bert flew solo for Cheyenne and Daniel’s shoot since I was away in Arkansas visiting family. Now I am totally feeling jealous, cause after editing their sweet little session, I feel like I know Cheyenne and Daniel but I have yet to meet them in person. It won’t be long though! Can’t wait for their autumn wedding. Congratulations to you both!
Courtney is one of those people who is so full of energy that she is simply unstoppable! It comes out in everything that she does. Their wedding day was full of this energy. The bridal party had even choreographed their ‘walk’ down the isle. And then just as everyone was expecting the bride and her father to walk down the isle, Courtney and her father arrived on her father’s gas converted golf cart. It was absolutely perfect! Sometimes it can be a little tricky to pick the perfect location for your engagement session. So many things weigh into the equation. Urban or country? Casual or formal? Water or desert (well not so much in our area:)? The most important thing is to keep it ‘you‘. I love that Chelsea and Matt did just that. They kept it very close to home. Their good friends own one of the locations we used: All Seasons Landscaping and were happy for them to use their sweet grounds. Congratulations to you both!
There is so much to say about Ashleigh and William’s beautiful day at Boldt Castle on Heart Island! I think this summarizes it perfectly. 
Jenny and Jade’s wedding on July 30th was absolutely perfect. Jenny’s parents have a gorgeous property nestled amongst sprawling green fields and secluded lakes. Patty, Jenny’s, mom has a definite green thumb and was able to coax the flower garden to grow abundantly, creating the perfect backdrop for Jenny and Jade’s wedding ceremony. The sky was a magnificent blue. The breeze was blowing softly. The skirl of bagpipes could be heard in the background. The mood was perfectly set for Jenny and Jade’s special day. 
Bert & I have been looking forward to Dana and Gerald’s wedding in Potsdam since last fall after we met for their engagement session. Dana and Gerald are both super close to their families & had a huge bridal party filled with siblings and close friends (many laughs, hugs and tears in the getting ready room). I love how adventurous Nichole and Ronnie are. They tried their hand at canoeing for the first time the night of their engagement shoot. I have been canoeing a few times before, so that is brave! They were complete naturals though–even managing to balance the canoe for quick standing kiss. Yes, I am very impressed! Congratulations!
One thing I really love about our job is not just meeting new people all the time, but actually getting to know the people we meet. A little over a year ago, we met Nicole and Jeffrey for their engagment session in Thornden Park. They were such a genuine and fun couple. Nicole was bright and bubbly. Jeffrey was thoughtful and adoring. Fast forward to a year later and those traits have not changed in the least. And there was no surprise to find them surround by loved ones so similar. It was so sweet to see how touched Nicole’s brother Nathan was when he gave her a quick hug before the ceremony. Thank you so much Nicole and Jeffrey for sharing your day with us. Congratulations!
