With ice on the shores and some snow on the ground, Adrianne and Ryan were all set for a winter engagement session at Sackets Harbor. Congratulations to them both! We had a great time shooting and can’t wait for your wedding this fall!

Winter is such a wonderful time of year. Snowfalls transform grey days into something of wonder and beauty. Chelsea and Matt chose to celebrate their wedding on New Years Eve. It was a perfect day with just enough snow to feel like winter and just enough warmth to make being outside bearable (says I who could wear a warm coat:). Chelsea’s winter wonderland theme carried beautifully though the day from the detailed sparkle of her gown to the twinkling wishing tree at their reception. Beautiful day Chelsea and Matt! Congratulations!

Sackets Harbor NY Engagement: Genna & Jason
When I was a child, my mom would often tell me that no two people were exactly the same….”just like snowflakes” she would say. Well now that I am ‘all grown up’, I am seeing that this applies beautifully to many things in life. Like proposals. Genna and Jason have a great story. Jason knew Genna would love a new pair of Oakley sunglasses. He picked a special pair and had “Will U Marry Me” etched into the bottom left frame. Genna was so excited when he gave them to her, that she didn’t notice the etching until a little gentle nudging from Jason! It wasn’t long before she gave him a matching pair that said, “She Said Yes”. Awesome Sauce! Congratulations to you both!

It is definitely the time of year when the weather is getting a bit cooler. Each morning is a mini-adventure as you lift a slat on the mini-blind for a peek out the window. Will the world be covered in white fluffy snow, or will the squirrels still be scurrying around to find more for their stash? One thing is absolutely certain. It is a perfect time of year for snuggling up with our favorite person! Ashley and Luke were able to catch a few moments of this perfect snuggle time out at Sackets. Crazy Sweetness!
