As a wedding photographer, I have the rare privilege of getting to know a person in almost a ‘fly on the wall’ sort of way. But more than that, I get to do that on one of the most important days of someone’s life! I truly feel blessed to get this opportunity and especially on this day for Heather and Joshua. It had been a while since we visited Boldt Castle, but oh was it worth the wait! Miranda and Mark’s wedding was perfect. There was a gentle breeze and the temperature was perfect for a mid July wedding. The Dove Cote behind the castle was the ideal backdrop for their romantic exchange of vows. After shooting weddings in Northern New York for several years now, we have finally taken it to the next level–a wedding at Boldt Castle! We didn’t really put it together right away that we hadn’t yet shot on the island, since we have visited a couple of times as tourist. Their wedding was fabulous. Ashleigh was a stunning bride. She and the girls had their hair and makeup done in Alex Bay before hopping aboard the Island Girl for the quick trip to Heart Island. Ashleigh and William chose many sweet little details for their day, such as personalised totes for the bridesmaids and a groom’s cake that perfectly replicated William’s airplane . Congratulations to you both!
